Yoga + Surf Retreat
Nicaragua | January 18-25, 2020
In the midst of dismal January, who doesn’t want to get away? We have curated the perfect winter escape! Leave your hat and scarf behind and picture waking up to a thatched roof and an ocean breeze, on the beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean…
Fresh fruit and locally grown coffee to awaken the senses, then a dip or a surf session before morning yoga practice. These are the beginnings to a day spent in paradise.
Choose your own adventures each day, like surfing, or a horseback ride along the beach. Opt to hike or board down a volcano, or sip a frosty drink by the pool. All with ample time for napping or lazing in a hammock.
Each evening’s yoga practice will help you to restore balance after the activities of the day, and an after-dinner bonfire will offer moments of reflection or connection, as needed, before retiring for the night.

Testimonials:
“Loved the retreat a couple of years ago. Costa Rica is like a small paradise on earth and Nicole’s practice was amazing, preparing us not only physically, but also spiritually for the new year. We left NY with the snow and arrived to amazing, sunny, warm Costa Rica. The smells of nature, the colors, the sounds of birds and water and above all the food! Wish I could do it again!” Angeliki Pessiridou, 2013 retreat participant
“It was such a gift to experience such an amazing, life-changing retreat. From the laughter to the tears, my Costa Rica experience with Nicole will be with me for years. I am so blessed and grateful for everything I discovered on the trip.” Maureen Flynn, student and 2014 retreat participant
“I can’t thank Pacific Yoga enough for organizing and curating one of the most memorable trips of my life. This trip completely exceeded my expectations. Nicole, formerly a resident there, did an amazing job providing an authentic experience. We really felt like we got to embrace the local culture. The group by the end of the trip had become an amazing family of women as we did yoga twice a day (with the sun rise and set and monkeys all around us), had lovely hikes through the jungle, tasty meals, and lots of beach time. The trip had a great balance of activity and R&R including amazing spa experience towards the end of the trip. The whole experience was like a detoxing therapy. I felt so relaxed and so healthy. We unplugged, slowed down and truly enjoyed being one with nature.” Lauren Walcott, student and 2015 retreat participant
“What a life changing experience! Costa Rica is an amazing place to experience and the location was just what I needed to get out of my head for a bit and feel alive. The trip consisted of a week of exploring the jungle and wild beaches, seeing monkeys, the planets and stars, snorkeling off the coast at an island, and practicing twice daily, paired with delicious organic meals, and fresh juices, and great company. The yoga pavilion is an incredible place to start your day and unwind, as it’s open air surrounded by the sounds of monkeys and birds and smells of wonderful tropical plants. The lodge sits a beautifully landscaped nature preserve and the ocean so you have wonderful views everywhere you look. There are trails to explore and a natural swimming hole a short walk from the cabins. Nicole lived in Costa Rica and teaches you about the local culture and is fluent in Spanish so she is the perfect guide if you are looking for relaxation paired with as much adventure as you desire. I highly recommend it!” Sarah Puleo, student and 2016 retreat participant

and under every deep a lower deep opens.”
